Don't even waste your time, 2nd treo in a month. First one froze up before I left the store. Salesmen ordered a new one, froze up next day.
Ordered a Blackberry, can not wait.

Ok, so, this is not a phone you buy for your son or daughter. This phone was made for THE BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL. This phone has all the features that a professional usually needs and wants and is a joy to use and work with. This phone combines a palm and a phone together which does save you money from having to buy a palm PDA system seperatly. However, if you already have a Palm PDA, then the platform will be more than familiar to you. The email sync feature is great and so are the other features such as the IM text messaging and the fact I can actually use this phone as a POS device if I need to charge customers any additional monies while in the field, can't complain. However, suprised they didn't ad a wi-fi in this unit.

Again, I think most business professionals will love this phone. Anyone who doesn't need or use the many different programs and features this phone has to offer may feel they were over charged because they are not usintg it for what it was designed for.

i was a nextel customer and i transfered to sprint June 2007 expecting them to have the black berry curve, but they didn't the rep talked me into this ... Treo 755p

i use to think this treo was amazing because of its Thread Texting and the fact that i can send picture mail but then the problems started. i have the 755p burgundy.... constantly reset, volume in and out, screen would go black for minutes at a time, the phone would reset and freeze at the palm screen and this was the first one

they finally replaced my phone after constant complaints, and it worked well for a while and then it wouldn't link my bluetooth, my volume went in and out i went to the sprint store they looked at it couldn't figure it out and the next day i was back in the sprint store because my treo CRASHED

the replaced that burgundy with the blue that worked well for about 3 weeks then it started deleting my contacts at random, i tried to sync it with outlook it wouldn't allow me to sync to back them up

they just replaced my phone again yesterday 06/27/08 and after letting it charge i realized i cant sync my blue tooth ... so i called customer service and told them if i received a ticket i will mail it to sprint........ love the texting on the treo hate the phone... im going to blackberry...the treo is a head ache waiting to happen my best friend and i have already had 3-4 replacements each

I can honestly say that I use my Palm 755p everyday on an average of 5 hrs a day. Yes surfing the web takes a little time, and uses more battery juice, but I plug it in every night and on busy days a little time on the charger in my truck on the way home. Also the fact that I bought mine on E-Bay saved me a bundle. I paid 160.00 + S&H, so that makes me extra happy.

I have had several Palm based phones, my last was the Treo 650. It too had problems but after having had two Treo 755s in less than 1 month I'm seriously considering a Blackberry.
The screen jitters the display acts like a windows computer with a virus. It shuts down several times a day and reboots. Today about 10 times!
I liked the keys better on the 650 I had it for over 2 yrs so maybe it was just my familiarity. I truly believe they goofed on a few of their changes though. I like the feel of the phone with the textured feel over the 650 but it is usually in the case anyway.
The battery life on the 755 is less than the 650. Sometimes I charge it fully and it is discharged by the same night and it has hardly been used.
I love the Palm Platform and have used it for 5 yrs+ but if this is an example of the future of palm hardware I may well be dumping palm desktop. Just like I'm considering dumping my Windows computer for a Mac.

I am 100% satisfied with my Palm Treo 755p. Yes, the Palm operating system is quite a change from any basic phone you've ever used. But it is VERY user friendly, provided that you're looking for a device to help you mange your contacts, your schedule, and your life to a science. Many times, I have thought about experimenting with different operating systems like Windows or Blackberry. But each time I research it, I find that the Palm operating system is the best and most stable by far. My phone has never frozen on me and there are settings to alter almost every aspect of the phone for the most in personalization! The QWERTY keyboard is very comfortable to use, especially if you text as often as I do. The touchscreen works flawlessly as well. I have never accidentally selected one option when I meant to select another. I cannot say enough good things about the Palm Treo. Definitely a smart buy!

As the owner of the previous Treo 300; 600; 650 I find the 755 a great evolution of a great product. Its slimmer, faster and has the features and feel of its ancestors with some new additions. Treo may not be the wonder child of the industry but for my money its still the most easy to use and packed phone available for those of us who use a smart phone for business and fun. I thought about the new phone of the moment , Blakcberry, the touch screen i- phone or Sprint's equivalent - Instinct. They may look good but are much more difficult to navigate, type on and do not have so tremendous and inexpensive add on programs (like Datebk 6).
I hope there still enough of us to appreciate the Treo and Palm operating system to have it survive the fickle market.

I purchased the phone to replace my old palm PDA. I looked at the blackberry and palm and decided to stay with the Palm. The unit is pretty small but is very good for texting and entering data. While it is not intended to be a media phone, I found the sound so good through the ear buds, I upgraded to a 2 gig card so I could put some music on it. The sound through the speaker is not very good though. The one knock I have on the phone is the blue tooth. I have found that if I do not turn off my blue tooth prior to putting in the ear buds, I start dropping the blue tooth signal after I disconnect the buds. Sometimes I will even have to reinstall the blue tooth ear piece. The data, email, messaging and other business features work extremely well and it makes business easier to conduct in the field. A buddy of mine picked out the same phone with the same service and hated it ... until I showed him how it works. You definetly have to take the time to learn the features if you have never used Palm before. The operating system is unique in the handheld world. Its kind of like Apple vs PC once you get hooked on the Apple you will never go back.
If only I could get the GPS navigation on the phone it would be perfect.

My only disappointment is that about once every 3 weeks it will lock up. I simply remove the battery and reboot and it wokrs fine. Summary: very disappointed, feel that my money could have been spent better elsewhere.

I've been struggling to like this phone for a little less than a year because I'm a long-time fan of Palm Smartphones and PDAs. Love the Palm OS, or at least I used to. I thought my Treo 650 was cranky and unreliable, but now I'm looking back on my 650 days with something akin to nostalgia tinged with regret.

Note: I have kept the firmware up to date with Palm update releases, but the updates have not resolved the problems below.

This phone reboots frequently for no discernible reason, sometimes several times a day or only a few times per week. It may reboot while sitting untouched on a table or 5 times in a row when I'm trying to talk to someone with it (and keep having to call them back). A phone you can't use to talk to people defeats the purpose. Then it's a VERY expensive phonebook and calculator.

Call clarity is average. The highest volume setting is still not as loud as I would like, and I have to ask folks on the other end to repeat themselves a lot.

Battery life is abysmal. Even the "extended life" battery lasts less than a day.

Keys are too small and close together, even for my little girlie fingers. I double-press buttons a lot when I try to text message.

I had a data plan for a while in hopes that I would be able to check my email with it. Unfortunately, it would download every single email, new and old, that I had in Outlook. Manually deleting hundreds of emails was tiresome. My email provider, company IT whiz, IT whiz relatives, and even Sprint tech support couldn't figure out/resolve the problem. So I dropped the data plan. The emails were hard to read and clunky to navigate anyway.

I have finally thrown my hands up and given up trying to find a compatible bluetooth headset. I spent several months reading product reviews, going on Treo forums, and spending lots of money on 7 different bluetooth headsets. I tried 2 Motorolas, 1 Plantronics, a really high-end Gennum, the Jawbone, a Jabra and the Sennheiser FLX 70. I have not found a single one that will start or answer calls consistently, and every one I tried drops off the trusted devices list periodically and has to be paired again (Jawbone was the worst - I had to re-pair it after every use).

It sure is purdy, but attractiveness has nothing to do with functionality.

If I had not read so many reviews and frustrations similar to mine on Treo forums, I might think I had a faulty unit.

Conclusion: this phone did not live up to my high expectations from Palm. Can't wait until my contract is over so I can get a different phone.

I work in the IT field and used the 650 alot, but not near as much as i use the 755. I have used the Phone as Modem and it worked great. I have used the Sprint TV without so much as a blip accross the screen. Text messaging works great. I did not give the 755 a perfect score because i have a problem with Syncronizing my email at work. It worked great when we had Exchange 2003. I have since upgraded to Exchange 2007 wich requires SSL (needs a certificate from the server on the device to authenticate to the server) to Sync. The covertion of the certificat does not work so now i can not Sync my Email from Exchange 2007. All of my other Email accounts Sync with no problem. other than that i think the 755 was a great improvement over the 650 and i love it.

I LOVE this phone. It has been what Blackberry, I-Phone and all the rest of the "smartphones" are trying to be. This is my second in the series, my first being a 650 which I gave to my cousin and he is still using it. I have always had a Palm since they first came out, so I know the OS and featurs very well and this just adds in the phone (a very good and reliable one, at that) to all the other features that I have needed and used since 1995. It can be a little quirky, but with all the capabilities, it's no less quirky than my laptop or desktop. The phone part is EXCELLENT! The other capabilities are "whipped cream on the pie" if you know how to use them. I carry a spare extended life battery (I have 2), so battery life is NEVER a problem. I receive and make an average of over 70 calls a day plus my use of "on demand", "google maps", "Photos" (more than 300 personal and business related), camera, voice memo, calculator and I keep ALL my reding (e-books), documents and the like on my 2 gig card. I would recommend this phone to ANY "tech savvy" user as the best available.

This is my completely unbiased review of the Palm Treo 755p smartphone. I have had this phone for about a year now. I only had to perform one hard reset (which was very simple to do) because of the software (not licensed for use by Sprint) conflicting with my phone's performance. My Treo kept doing a "looping" reset, but the Palm.com website has instructions on how to hard reset your device, or you can call customer care. So far my phone has been an awesome asset for business and personal use. As a Representative of Primerica Financial Services, I did not have to purchase a Palm Tungsten (PDA) to use the company's custom built OS. I simply was able to download the software directly onto my device with no problems at all. I highly recommend this phone to any new or current Representatives of Primerica. On the personal side, I purchased a program to allow me to change things such as Volume Boost, Phone on/off times (set different times for different days), Custom LED ringtone colors and using MP3 files as ringers, etc. The program was only $14.95 and took less than a minute to download once purchase was confirmed. The volume boost greatly helps me to hear others and them to hear me with unprecedented clarity. I am amazed at how much this phone can do! Those who say "don't buy it" or "worst phone ever" are obviously not aware of its true technical capabilities. Email is a snap and Direct Push Technology allows me to access all of my email accounts (Business and Personal) on my device with ease and convenience. I can even use my 755p to view Powerpoint documents, Word documents, and more. The only cons I have about my device are minimal. The phone can feel a bit bulky at times and it is easy to drop it due to it's large size and no sort of contour to fit the palm of your hand. However, the size of the phone is not a problem since it was one of the devices to feature the better of the earlier touchscreen Smartphones. I think that the touchscreen should be reset every once in awhile just to calibrate it so that it functions properly when using the styli. Otherwise the touchscreen is a good compliment to an already outstanding device. My only gripe that is a bit of a concern at times is that the phone's battery life is sub-par, but with all of its features it can only stay powered for so long, which is not really that brief of a period anyway. I have had no problem getting my 4.2 hours of talk time in plus I still managed to tinker with some of the apps during that time as well. The phone is a great value, especially if you can get it as an upgrade or new account purchase. (Unfortunately I had to pay $579.00+ tax). Even with its hefty price tag, it will pay for itself time and time again just from the peace of mind and accessibility of the device alone. Though the 755p is not perfect, it is a far better Treo than any other on the market, especially in comparison to the cheaper plastic toy-like Palm Centro. For functionality, value, software, and performance, this is the perfect business and personal solution on the market today. A word to the wise, do not install the firmware update, it has too many issues as of now. Other than that, I LOVE MY TREO 755p like a fat kid loves cake!!!!

Still one of the best PDA Smartphones out there by far. Yet there is a level of understanding you have to use when operating a SmartPhone. They can crash and if your trying to multi task 90mph your likely going to see it power cycle. A MUST HAVE APPLICATION is : (GoTreoSoftware) SafeGuard this is priceless! If you ever has a continous loop where your phone HAD to be hard reset, look no furthur this program CURES that issue 110% no joke. (I do not speak for GoTreoSoftware, just love there applications).
1. One handed operation (texting or browsing)
2. Very simplistic OS layout, it does what you want it to do.
3. Very upgradable via different ROMs if you want to void the warranty ;-)

Although I like my 755p. Going on almost 1.5yrs old still does the trick! My wifes Centro does have some features the 755 should of had!

Poor navigation between programs, closes one program to open another. Emailing difficult, backlights flicker. locks up for no apparent reason.

great phone. very satisfied with it. E mailiing is difficult. looks and operates fine. Doesn't need too much setting up and is managable for a person like me who doesn't spend too mucht time with any new device.
