Went into the store and said I would like a basic phone. Don't want a camera, qwerty keyboard (not interested in texting), no ipod capabilites, don't even care about surfing the net. And this is what the associate handed ....

Don't want a camera, qwerty keyboard (not interested in texting), no ipod capabilites, don't even care about surfing the net. And this is what the associate handed me. Owned it about a year now. Works great (even dropped it a few times). Batteries lasts a few days without charging. It's Blue tooth compatible, but I use a wired headset because I hate the sputtering that happens when others call me using their Bluetooth (not only calls on this phone but calls to the house phone as well). Love the quick alarm too. Was handy when I had to pull off the road for a quick cat nap. Texting works, but I had it blocked because I was receiving text messages from folks who had the wrong number. Like I said, just wanted a basic phone. Even RINGS like a regular phone! Would take another one just like it after this one wears out. Gave it a 5 for Media (Software) just bacause I don't use that function and know nothing about it.

I have had an LG phone the past had it for many years I had to upgrade because the phone would not hold a charge for nothing even after charging it and getting a new battery. LG is definitely not good quality over all.

Only buy this phone if you talk less than 90 minutes a day or carry a charge around. (90 minutes is probably more than I actually get) There are no drivers to connect this phone to a PC so forget about saving your phone list ....

My usage is about 500 minutes and 200 messages a month with the phone on almost all the time; with the extended battery, I can go about 5-6 days between charges. Software/media are non-existent but that's what I wanted. VoiceSMS capability is really cool; many more expensive phones don't have it. No camera but I don't care. In short, if you're looking for a simple phone that does little more than ring when someone calls then this is a good value buy.
