This phone is very nice. The only thing I do not like about it is that it only comes with ONE type of case. The plain black case is boring and also the phone gets stuck in the case and has to be pried out to be wiped off. ....

I live in the desert and I'm sure just everyday going in and out of the heat affected the leather. If there were hard case covers like that available for the Katana LX it would be one of my favorite phones next to the older model of the Sanyo MM7500.

I had to return it because I couldn't get a decent signal in my house. I had not had a problem with the previous phone & this issue, so I knew it was the phone. I could only get one bar anywhere in my house & even then it would cut out in the middle of the call in some places. I had always had Sanyo phones previously & was very, very happy with them, until this one. I took it back & traded it for the new Samsung Instinct instead.

Reception on this phone is only fair at best unless you're in town, get along the outskirts and you can watch the signal meter do a dance. If I receive picture mail that has sound with it I cannot hear it or watch it move ....

There is a built in feature so that when you are on the web, the pages shrink to fit and then you need a magnifing glass to see the page. There is no flash on the camera so unless your in daylight the pictures are very dark. Tthe Bluetooth does not work well with Motorola S9 headphones lots of static and sound keeps cutting in and out. Dont buy it and if its free pay for another model.

Not very good on the reception part. It may be the provider service who knows. Text software needs some up-grades. Battery dies fast because of signal strength is low. Better phones out there and there are worse ones. Medium ....

The metallic appearance gave me the initial impression that it might be somewhat durable, not the case at all. Dropped it as I was placing it on the table, about a 6-8 inch fall. The phone froze up and had to be turned back ....

I'm in the military; this phone won't last at all. Getting a new one.

Not the worst, but close to it... The Katana is muffled, can't hear anyone talk especially in busy places...forget it! texting is difficult, and the phone just feels cheaply made. THe battery is good, but I'm not impressed ....

Alot of the common features aren't practical to use...example sending a call to voice mail when you don't want to answer it. Also when using the speakerphone the speaker is on the back of the phone. I love the editable shortcut menu that allows you to make any menu item one of 10 shortcuts. It took about a day to set the phone up to my liking and yes a little manual reading and research but almost everycomplaint I have seen listed in reviews can be addressed and changed to the users liking.
A few things I would like updated Music resume after a call. Next user created ringers transfered over a cable or direct to MicroSD card, and lastly could I please have one in flat black plastic. My OCD keeps me wiping fingerprints off this thing all day.

I only got a $75 rebate because i wasn't eligible for my 2 year upgrade when i purchased the phone. i wish i had waited...maybe i wouldn't feel so bad for paying so much!
