It's not great, I get about a day and a half out of it, but its not the worst I've seen either. I put that battery through its paces: web, texting, talking, etc. So I can't complain. Everything else is awesome! The huge screen (what a novel idea for a nextel) and the color outside display are sweet. The media player's a little quirky, but hey: it's a phone. I don't expect a whole lot. The camera is awesome. Voice recognition is great. Direct Connect works like a charm. I haven't had any trouble and everything works great. Sure, it's got its quirks: the green battery charge complete light kept staying on, even after I unplugged the charger. (Replugging in the charger and hitting a button and removing the charger solved the problem) Sometimes the menus are a little slow, but when you're packing this many features into a small package, I can completely understand that the little memory chips are getting a work out. It's not Milspec like the 402, 502, and 602, but the bluetooth and the EVDO is totally worth the trade off. This phone helps me get things done. Thank you Motorola and Sprint for coming out with such a great phone. (Sidenote: I had the ic602, it's not as rugged as they make it sound. Spend the extra money and get this one and take care of it. It's got more features, but it's still a Nextel: rugged and hard-working)
My advice: charge daily, as needed, or buy the extended battery. Get a bigger memory card for it (more room for music and pics) and invest in a data plan to take advantage of that high-speed EVDO internet. Check it out. Try it. The ic902 is worth it. Every penny.

Very Good Phone Tuesday, 01 July 2008 Expand
The best phone i've had from Sprint/Nextel, only couple problems, one with battery, went to a larger one. Customer service is the other, not all customer Reps can deal with a Hybrid.

The plug in is on the side so it makes it hard to talk and charge a phine. Not to mention any movement will knock the charger off. The phone does not easily allow you to switch from Direct connect to phone, with the same person. It is the worst nextel phone I have ever had and I have been with them since 2000'. This phone wants you to connect to the web for everything and then charge you money for it. It is a great money maker for sprint. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

I am a 48 state over-the-road truck driver... Having the phone side of this unit now on the Sprint Network it has much more servicable area then when only being on an IDEN network. I use the Nextel/IDEN to keep in touch with family and friends that are scattered all over the US. I am always snapping pictures and videos to send to them. And when I need to find out information, IE: weather/traffic/ect. I use the phone as a modem hooked via Bluetooth to my Tablet computer. Alot of areas are broadband, some are at dial-up speed, but I always have an internet connection, no matter where I'm at... E-mail/fax/web it's always there... when i need it.
